Subject to eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to Legal Help or Legal Aid in some cases, in particular care proceedings and cases involving social services, or domestic abuse. If you think you may be eligible for Legal Help or Legal Aid, please contact us and we will carry out an assessment of your financial circumstances. We may need proof of income and bank statements at your first appointment.

In matters where Legal Aid is not available, you may instruct us on a privately paid basis. We acknowledge that sometimes, proceedings can be expensive and therefore we try to keep our costs to a minimum and are happy to discuss fee arrangements with our clients. We produce regular interim bills in order to split costs evenly throughout our representation of you and make costs more manageable.

At the commencement of all privately funded matters you will be asked to pay £100 plus VAT. This covers an initial appointment plus an advice letter. If you require any further work to be carried out, we can discuss the fees for that further work at the initial appointment.
